Wilmington, DE – As the world continues to address the COVID-19 crisis, we know that students, teachers, and parents face an unprecedented set of challenges. While it is a time of uncertainty, the Florida Department of Education has recognized ChatterHigh’s online curriculum for COVID-19 and Mental Health Awareness as a valuable resource for grade 6-12 students in the coming months.
Starting April 1, 2020, we are giving all educators free access to a “COVID-19 Awareness and Prevention” module that engages learners with information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and other state and federal agencies. The module builds knowledge on symptoms, risk, prevention, treatment, individual and family preparation, government response measures, and more.
Starting April 6, 2020, we are also providing free access to educational “Mental Health Awareness” modules, which contain information and resources from national mental health agencies and organizations on mental wellness, mental health disorders, suicide prevention, substance use, and more.
“These are extraordinary times, and with all education now being delivered remotely, online platforms like ours can do much to help educators deliver supplemental curriculum topics that were intended to be delivered in a classroom setting.”
– Lee Taal, Founder and CEO
We continue to offer award-winning college and career curriculum to keep students hopeful about their future. Additionally, any educator or district may now design custom activities for supplemental curriculum topics (e.g. financial literacy, labor market information, school choice, human trafficking, etc.) at no cost. Virtual professional development or support to build a custom course is also provided.
All of us within the world of education are faced with new challenges resulting from this global health crisis. But now more than ever, ChatterHigh is committed to supporting teachers in their effort to engage, inform, and guide students online, creating even greater hope for the future.
